  A local non-profit agency that works to build pediatric clinics and offer educational scholarships to children in East African countriesl, including Stone Turtle Health's personal project, the David McLeod Memorial Clinic.

  Here's Why We Love Them:

  Dr. Katie worked with Humanity for Children to raise funds for the David McLeod Memorial Clinic, a maternity clinic that will become part of a regional pediatric center in Kenya, opening in 2010. What's not to love about providing healthcare and educational opportunities to children, helping them to realize their full potential.

  Access to quality healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and it should not be denied or limited because of economic status. Holistic healthcare practices such as acupuncture & oriental medicine, naturopathy, massage therapy, clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, midwifery, and homeopathy are important options in modern healthcare and should be available to all. Homeless and low-income people have the right to participate in the creation of public policies and programs that affect their access to healthcare.
